Cougar boys win tri-meet at Expoland

At Expoland in Fishersville, the Stuarts Draft boys cross country team won its tri-meet between Wilson Memorial and Riverheads on Monday with 21 points. Riverheads came in second with 46 points while Wilson Memorial took third with 66 points.

Lucas Moffett won the 5K race for the Cougars with a time of 18:35 ahead of teammate Colton Berrinton at 19:19. Quinton Knott of Wilson Memorial placed third with a time of 19:21. Stuarts Draft's Tielor Dietrich finished fourth and Jacob Koons of Riverheads rounded out the top five with a time of 20:12.

Girls cross country

n Stuarts Draft 23, Riverheads 49, Wilson Memorial 64

At Expoland, the Cougars' girls cross country team defeated the Red Pride and Green Hornets Monday. Stuarts Draft's Katie Conner edged out Riverheads' Nadia Nunez for the top spot with a time of 23:27.
