Gap falls in close match with Luray

In Luray, the Buffalo Gap Volleyball team was one game away from earning its first Shenandoah District win of the year before Luray started to rally.

The Bulldogs defeated Gap 21-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-16, 19-17 on Thursday night.

Natalie Smith led the Bison with nine kills and six blocks with Emma and Leigh Doyle pitching in five and six kills respectively. Gap’s Katie Rexrode finished the night with 17 service points.

The Bison (2-10, 0-6) will return to the court on Tuesday, hosting Page County.

In JV action, Luray swept the Bison 25-16, 31-29.
