PREP SOFTBALL: Cougars have chances, but miss in loss to Blazers
In Stuarts Draft, a four-error fourth inning ended the Cougars’ chances at picking up a non-district win on the eve of their Southern Valley District showdown against No. 1 Fort Defiance.
Stuarts Draft fell to Spotswood 5-4.
Lauren Campbell (3-2) took the loss for the Cougars giving up six hits. Emmy Blacka was 1-for-4 with a solo home run and Katie Yancy was 2-for-4 with a double.
The Cougars (4-3, 1-1 Southern Valley) will take on the Indians today at 5 p.m. in Fort Defiance.
