Congleton scores game-winning goal in OT
SWOOPE — The last thing Wilson Memorial head coach Kyle Congleton told his team before the start of extra minutes was to play hard and to give it their all and that they would not be satisfied with a tie.
Wilson stays perfect
SWOOPE — Wilson Memorial pulled away from its Shenandoah District rival Buffalo Gap late in the second half after going into intermission tied at two, defeating the Bison 4-2 and remaining undefeated on the season.

GIRLS SOCCER: Hornets hang on to beat Pride
Wilson Memorial scored two early goals in the first half to outlast a tough second half attack from Riverheads. The Hornets hung on to defeat the Gladiators 2-1 in Shenandoah District girls soccer play.

SWOOPE—After Jamie Benbow started the scoring for Buffalo Gap’s boys soccer team less than three minutes into its match Wednesday, Kegan Knott followed with three straight goals and keeper Logan Lovelace made it stick with five saves to shutdown Page County 8-0.
