Riverheads tops Blues

In Buena Vista, Riverheads kept Parry McClure pinned deep in its own territory for most of the night on Friday on its way to a 47-8 road win.

Corey Sandridge led the Gladiators in the non-district contest with two touchdowns. He ran the ball eight times for 54 yards. Lance Diehl also contributed with a touchdown on the ground and one through the air. Diehl finished the night with 50 rushing yards and was a perfect 3-for-3 passing with 51 yards.

Riverheads (2-1, 0-0 Shenandoah) will return to action on Friday, traveling to Wilson Memorial.
