GREENVILLE — Riverheads running back Cory Sandridge scored five touchdowns on short and long runs Friday, keying the Gladiators to a 42-14 Shenandoah District victory over Stonewall Jackson.

FISHERSVILLE — Jared Stipic recovered a fumble at Wilson’s four-yard line and Trevor Fisher had a late interception as Fort Defiance outlasted Wilson Memorial, 28-26 in a Southern Valley District football contest Friday night.

After a scare from Fort Defiance last week, Robert E. Lee bounced back in a big way on Friday night, defeating Rockbridge County 34-7. Junior quarterback Devante White, who left last week’s game with an injury, played exceptionally for the Leemen, running for 179 yards and two touchdowns, while passing for another.
