The Waynesboro School Board will meet April 30 to discuss a revamped budget that could include deferring $600,000 in revenue for the schools from the city until the 2011 budget.

$6.25M loan bound for Collett
Waynesboro Assistant City Manager Jim Shaw and Budget Director Pat Nicosia told the Economic Development Authority Friday that it had found a loan to pay off Waynesboro Town Center developer Collett and Associates, though its interest rate was not as low as city officials had hoped.

City Council authorizes $10 million for projects
In separate votes, the Waynesboro City Council on Monday voted to authorize issuing $2 million in bonds to repair the Broad Street Bridge, and voted to provide for the issue, sale and award of another $8.8 million in bonds for city infrastructure and public works projects, all to be financed through the Virginia Resource Authority.
