Friday night was the end for some teams in the Southern Valley District.

Going into Friday nights contest Waynesboro and Fort Defiance both found themselves at the bottom of the Southern Valley District standings. Waynesboro needed a win to still be in contention to make the district tournament.

STAUNTON — According to Robert E. Lee coach Paul Hatcher, Terrell Mickens is a hard worker and a clutch player. Mickens did nothing to disprove his coach’s statements in a 86-46 rout of Waynesboro High School.
