Zoning ordinance changes discussed
Waynesboro City Planner Michael Barnes said at Tuesday’s Planning Commission meeting that the comprehensive changes in store for the zoning ordinance should have little impact on city residences or businesses.

Drawing horses and cattle from the nether reaches of fields frequently involves the fine art of rattling feed in buckets. Drawing homeowners from the nether reaches of living rooms is a tad more detailed, frequently involving plans for developing neighboring property. At least cows can’t carry torches.

Augusta planners approve rezoning
The Augusta County Planning Commission voted 6-0 Tuesday night to recommend the rezoning from agriculture to business of 135 acres of land just off Interstate 81 for the largest commercial project ever in Augusta County.

By a 6-0 vote, the Waynesboro Planning Commission gave its approval Tuesday to preliminary plans for the 47-lot Tomasville Subdivision on 26 acres off White Bridge Road.
