CHARLOTTESVILLE — An Albemarle County jury awarded $5.25 million on Friday to the parents and sibling of a 16-year-old county girl who was killed in a car accident in 2008.

The family of a 16-year-old Albemarle High School junior killed in a car accident has filed a $15 million lawsuit against a tractor-trailer driver and the company for which he worked.

A Waynesboro truck driver involved in a wreck that killed an Albemarle teenager on U.S. 29 will face a jury early next year.
