FISHERSVILLE — In an emotionally charged match the visiting Fort Defiance Indians got a 3-1 win over the host Hornets 25-22, 25-17, 24-26, 25-14.

FORT DEFIANCE — Liberty-Bedford was too much for Fort Defiance on Monday night as it defeated the Indians in five games 23-25, 24-26, 25-18, 25-22 and 15-11.

STUARTS DRAFT — Stuarts Draft and Fort Defiance split their regular season, tied on top of the standings and needed five games during Saturday’s Southern Valley District finals to decide the district’s top dog heading into the Region III tournament.

Fort Defiance came back to win in five games 25-21, 15-25, 12-25, 25-22 and 15-6 against Waynesboro on Thursday in the first round of the Region III tournament.

STUARTS DRAFT — The Southern Valley got even more interesting on Thursday.

FORT DEFIANCE — It was a heart pounding thriller at Fort Defiance on Tuesday night after Waynesboro avoided a sweep and came and forced a Game 5.

FORT DEFIANCE — Fort Defiance coach Lynn Alexander couldn’t have been more proud of her players Thursday night after the Indians swept Robert E. Lee 25-19, 25-10 and 25-14.

STAUNTON - Fort Defiance powered its way through the Robert E. Lee volleyball team sweeping 25-6, 25-19 and 25-17.

FISHERSVILLE — Aliya Stevenson just couldn’t hide the confidence.

The momentum swung like a pendulum, with a coveted Southern Valley District win hanging in the balance. Waynesboro wanted to rise above .500 in the district, and Fort Defiance was trying to stay undefeated in the Southern Valley.

FORT DEFIANCE – A strong team effort lead Turner Ashby to victory in three games over Fort Defiance in non-district action on Thursday.

FORT DEFIANCE — Rockbridge wants to make this season a another defining moment in its volleyball program. The Wildcats knocked off Waynesboro last year for the first time in its school history after a 15-year drought. This season marks a new year with a new coach for the Wildcats.
But they will have to wait.
