A Staunton man has pleaded guilty in federal court to viewing child pornography on his laptop computer inside the Staunton Public Library.

Clifton Thomas Talley, 59, faces minimum prison sentences of 10 years each for two counts of possession of child pornography.

HARRISONBURG — A Staunton man’s plea hearing in federal court on two counts of possession of child pornography was continued Wednesday, and a judge denied the defense attorney’s motion to suppress evidence.

A Staunton grand jury Monday certified eight child pornography possession charges against a former Mary Baldwin College professor arrested last year on 26 similar counts.
