Parkway, Shenandoah National Park to get funds

Members of an organization set up to honor the Blue Ridge Parkway’s 75th anniversary, along with national park officials met Monday with area tourism officials to discuss ways localities can participate.

ON THE BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY — A 40-year-old man was airlifted to the University of Virginia Medical Center on Monday night after plunging more than 60 feet while climbing the rock base leading to Ravens Roost Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
