Price’s focus on education makes him best in the 24th

Since the election of President Barack Obama (the people’s choice), I have experienced a breakdown in our democratic society. We have gone from a country moving forward to a country that is moving backward into the past using scare tactics and untruths. It is time to start electing representatives who see us all as one: Americans! And that is why I support Democrat Jeff Price in his campaign for state House District 24.
I am a retired teacher with 38 years of teaching experience in Amherst County Public Schools. Jeff is a graduate of Amherst County Public Schools and his wife is an educator in that system. Education is Jeff’s top priority and mine. He promotes stronger apprenticeships for high school juniors and seniors that may not be college bound, healthier classrooms by having LEED certification of new school buildings, bonuses for teachers who teach in at-risk schools and better salaries for teachers (Virginia still lags behind the national average in teacher salaries) in order to recruit and retain good teachers.
It is time to stop paying attention to negative campaigning and start paying attention to a candidate’s platform. Your vote is your voice! Let’s keep Virginia moving forward.
