Palin is not what America needs in a vice president

If you needed further proof that electing John McCain would be electing Bush/Cheney for a third term, his choice for vice president cleared all doubts. Don’t be fooled by the delivery of a well-written speech with no substance. Sarah Palin is Cheney with lipstick – pit bulls are much nicer.
Go beyond the fake beauty pageant wave and look at the facts. Palin:
* Subscribes to the views of far-right people like Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson and James Dobson;
* Wants to OUTLAW a women’s right to choose – even in cases of rape or incest;
* Claims it was God’s will we go to Iraq ... does that mean she thinks the current administration is God?
* Claims it is God’s will to build a pipeline and drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge ... cuckoo!
* Is against sex education in schools other than abstinence (that worked!);
* Rails against earmarks but accepts millions of federal dollars as mayor and governor. Public records show her taking the earmarks she is “against” – blatant lies. Alaskans receive 10 TIMES more federal money per person than any other state, yet have the 47th smallest population;
* Was mayor of a town of 9,000 – she inherited a surplus and left a $22 million debt, despite the $27 million provided in federal money (sound familiar?);
* Wants to remove polar bears from the endangered species list so big oil can drill in ANWR or wherever they want (wants federal tax breaks for big oil, too);
* Was governor for less than two years, but already is under investigation for abuse of power;
* Delayed giving interviews because she needed “tutoring.” McCain once said the V.P. “needs to be ready to lead from day one.” How is she ready to lead when she needs “tutoring” due to ZERO foreign policy experience?
When McCain is the oldest person ever to run for president, we cannot afford to have his back-up getting on-the-job training! Do we really want someone with these radical views and so little experience a “heartbeat” away from running the most powerful country in the world?

Nice try, Peter. Everything you say qualifies Palin as a leader and disqualifies Obama also disqualifies McCain as a leader. You can’t have it both ways, of course. Keep smiling, friend.
American cannot afford four more years like we’ve had the last eight. Manufacturing jobs in sharp decline, to a point where our economy is basically us Americans selling stuff made by Asians and Latinos to us Americans. Our infrastructure is crumbling. Our education system is in a shambles thanks to W. and his cronies. Our health-care system is the most expensive in the world, and treats a smaller percentage of its citizens than any other industrialized nation. We’re caught up in a war that won’t end that won’t affect our national security one way or the other, and is otherwise adding to the bankrupting of our people.
And the Peter Clarkes of the world want to make this about jingoism.
America needs to wake up to the realities of the world that we live in. You can drill for all the oil you want to, you can place all the Win the War! signs in lawns that you want, you can tout your middling VP candidate all you want, and that’s not going to change the fundamentals of our economy, which despite what the McCain-Palin camp seems to believe is not strong. And those of us out here not named Peter Clarke are aware of that, and are desirous of a change in Washington.
What Americans Do Not Need, is 4 more years of not allowing a vote to drill for American oil; Americans can not afford 4 more years of an equal opportunity on the job training program, or 4 more years of Senate hearings on steroids under Pelosi and dems, or 4 more years of democrats under Nancy Pelosi’s no action for Americans. Combine these with the incredibly bad judgment and inexperience of the Junior Senator Barack Hussein Obama and his gray hair mentor shoot from the lip Biden, who clearly represents NO CHANGE for the American people.
What the Americans need is to get off purchasing foreign oil asap and start drilling for new oil and gas plus using all their own new sources of energy now. Because Every 1 year of delay in drilling for USA oil=10 more years dependency on foreign oil, which =20 more years of fighting foreign radical Islamic terrorists paid for by our continued purchase of $700 billion per year in foreign oil. Something that Obama and Biden do not agree with, but McCain and Palin Do….Keep smiling….
Palins qualification for VP are superior to those of Obamas for President, but she is only a heart beat away as the deocrats keep saying.The Junior Senator Barack H. Obama and Governor Palin are well educated individuals. B.H.O.’s resume has him as a community social worker who snorted cocaine, a Junior Senator with zero accomplishments, voted “ present ” 40 % of the time, has NO executive experience and has voted 100% of the time along party lines. He is connected with the corrupt Chicago Daley gang; for 20 years had an infamous racist narcissistic spiritual adviser; has close ties with two convicted felons Tony Rezko (www.suntimes.com/.../353829,CST-NWS-rez23.article) and Williams Ayers an unrepentant radical terrorist who bombed government buildings and until recently Obamas wife was not proud of America.
On the other side, Sarah Palin`s resume includes her 14 years of executive experience as Governor, Commander of the National Guard in Alaska, former Mayor and CEO, City Councilor; PTA member and who does not snort cocaine Her eldest son, to serve his country, enlisted in the army in place of social work, and is scheduled for deployment in Iraq. From a heart beat, her experience as a mother of five alone qualifies her for commander and chief. Obama as her opponent has NO experience what so ever to be running for the office he seeks. Keep smiling…..
