Massacre could have ended differently

Again, the Virginia Tech massacre is in the news. Will it ever end?

The most relevant question hasn’t even been asked let alone answered: Why didn’t someone do something during the shooting?

The killer had his back to to many in the room, he had to take time to reload, he was slight of stature and easy to take down. If I had been there I would have done something even at the risk of taking a slug.

What has happened to Americans when citizens will stand around like a flock of sheep to be slaughtered? I have to believe that this was an anomaly. If not, Lord help us.
