Local Salvation Army counts its blessings
Published: March 1, 2009
On behalf of The Salvation Army of Waynesboro-East Augusta County and those whom we serve, may I say, we are blessed – so very blessed!
We are part of a community filled with wonderful, caring citizens and we are most grateful. The renewed interest and coming together of our community to serve those in need this past holiday season truly blessed our hearts here at The Salvation Army. The outpouring of concern, compassion and generosity was tremendous.
The community joined us in serving 251 families at Thanksgiving as well as providing a merrier Christmas to 2,621 people. We could not have done this without each and every person who helped in myriad ways. We extend our sincere appreciation to each person who supported our Christmas ministry. May God bless you all.
Again, thank you and may God continue to bless our community as it reaches out to those in need.

Having a strong and active chapter of the Salvation Army in Waynesboro speaks well of our community. It benefits our community for each of us to support that organization however we can. Thanks for all that you do.
