Landes has built record for getting things done
Published: October 23, 2009
Over the past 13 years, Del. Steve Landes has fought tirelessly to protect the interests of the Shenandoah Valley. Right now the Commonwealth of Virginia is at an important crossroads. We need someone in Richmond who is an experienced leader, who has consistently proved that he can get things done.
Among his many accomplishments, Steve worked hard to create jobs in this area. He put in place the framework for SRI International, which will bring countless jobs to the area and improve economic development. Just recently, he proposed legislation that will provide grants to small businesses in our area that provide new full-time positions. In these tough economic times, this is the type of leadership we need.
In contrast, his opponent wants to join with Creigh Deeds and raise our taxes, including Virginia’s corporate income tax. We do not need more taxes during a recession, when many of us are already struggling to make ends meet. When we are forced to tighten our belts, our government should be expected to do the same, and Steve understands that.
As a native of the area with 20 years of experience under his belt, Steve understands what this area needs. We need the consistent and honest leadership of Steve Landes. This is an important time in Virginia, and the residents of the 25th District have a clear choice. On Nov. 3, I hope you will join me in voting to re-elect Steve Landes.

Toms you are obviously another Landes hack. (Steve where do you get these morons?) In 13 years Landes’s claim to fame on the job front is SRI? Let me clue you in Bubba, SRI isn’t even in our district. It was a pet project of then Gov. Warner, Landes was just an add-on, one of many, and he had NOTHING to do with actually creating the project.
Countless jobs? Do you know why they are countless? Because NOT ONE job has been created by SRI. When will those “countless” jobs that you speak of get to Augusta County?
Your letter was obviously written by the Landes campaign as propaganda..you people are a joke.
