Judgements cast counterproductive

Regarding the Aug. 29 “Three Up, Three Down” editorial and “Say it ain’t so, Joe.”

Our Bible tells us: “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”

As human beings, you, your staff, your readers and I all fall short of the glory of God. If we each consider our own shortcomings, we would be too busy to examine the “mote” in our neighbor’s eye.

Kindness, understanding and compassion would go much further in these troubling times toward healing than “meanness.”
