Graves’ racism charge ill informed

Nelson Graves’ new smiling profile still can’t hide the disgruntled whiner inside. His Aug. 20 commentary in The News Virginian proves he is still lost in space. To declare that racism is alive and well at town hall meetings is well ... just ignorant. Although it pains me to agree with him, I, too, do not see any need for weapons at any political rally. However, a white man with a gun doesn’t immediately initiate racist intimidation. Black Panther members outside a voting hall in Pennsylvania, well, you make the call.

Perhaps Nelson needs a little history lesson. As best I recall Abraham Lincoln, John Kennedy and Ronald Reagan were all white presidents and were all shot by white men. As were Bobby Kennedy and John Lennon. President Gerald Ford had to deal with a white woman named Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme, who attempted to assassinate him in 1975. When are the liberal yahoos going to get the message that it has nothing to do with color but everything to do with policy? The town hall folk are just as disgusted with Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein, Harry Reed, Barney Frank and Arlen Specter.

And by the way, they are white! Imagine that! The only thing racist in the whole commentary was the pinhead who wrote it. He can’t seem to get his thinking out of the 1800s and his head out of his backside.
