Do you trust government to take over health care?

Let me see now: Our government wants to manage our health care. Take a look at other programs managed by government:
Social Security: This program is a mess. We are still paying into it but when we retire, it probably won’t be there. The purpose was to give people that have been putting into this program the ability to draw an income when they are retired. Do you think this will still ring true when you retire?
Welfare: It, too, is a mess. Money and food stamps are not regulated as they should be. Some people who are getting these benefits are taking advantage of the system and people who could use the program are not able to. The children that this system are responsible for are not being taken care of the way they should be.
Veterans hospitals: Veterans Administration hospitals are a mess and underfunded, understaffed and more.
FEMA: Can you say New Orleans?
Military: Our troops are fighting battles and don’t have the proper equipment or some of the equipment is not up to par. Looks like this should be at the top of the budget since we are at war.
Educational loans: I’ve heard of kids who are not going to be able to finish school because this program doesn’t have the money to keep up with the costs.
Stimulus packages, Cash for Clunkers and bailouts: Those worked beautifully, didn’t they? I got $5 extra a week, not enough to stimulate anything. Dealers are not getting the money promised from the Cash for Clunker program. And bailouts? When I see bonuses and incentives being paid when companies are posting billions of dollars in losses and I see there are still foreclosures going on because the money did not go to help the public, I’m pretty sure this didn’t work either.
And now they want to run health care? Is this what you want? Really?
