A showing of arrogance, incompetence
Published: April 30, 2009
I am sure you were as distressed as I was upon learning from the recent publication of the Obamas’ tax returns that their income took a decided downturn from that of the previous year when the revenue from books such as “The Audacity of Hope” were rolling in.
But never fear, there is a remedy for the first family’s economic malaise. President Barack Obama just needs to pen another New York Times bestseller, this one titled, “The Audacity of Arrogance and Incompetence.”
The first 100 days of the Obama presidency have been characterized by nonstop, sanctimonious lecturing, photo-op posturing, botched appointments, malfunctioning teleprompters, brainless actions, constitutional affronts and enough misspent money for several presidential terms.
When we the people went to the polls in November to elect a president, we didn’t realize we would get an entertainer-in-chief, an automotive czar and a micromanager of mortgage loans, just to name a few of the personas adopted by the president.
It’s comforting to know that he will be around at least three more years applying greenback poultices to our wounds and providing us with 24/7 smug guidance on all manner of subjects, which will be dutifully parroted by his mainstream media boosters.
Reader Reactions
Ad hominem, Mr. Graham. But then again, who would expect less from you?
A better headline for this letter would have been “The Audacity of the Ignorant.“ Pete Marks has enlightened us once again. No, sir, can’t put one past ol’ Pistol Pete!
I hate to be the one to inform you Mr. Marks, but president Obama will be around for 7 more years. You talk about incompetence but tell me how could anyone be more incompentent than George Bush. I can’t believe how people can judge a man on the job for 100 days that has a mess that was years in the making to clean up. If you are so concerned about everything move to Siberia.
