May 6 is only a few weeks away. By electing Bruce Allen and re-electing Frank Lucente, Waynesboro residents would be relieved from the tax burden imposed by the liberals on the City Council (Mayor Tom Reynolds, Vice Mayor Nancy Dowdy and Lorie Smith.)

Remember when these liberals gave taxpayer money to private organizations (i.e., the Waynesboro Theatre Alliance), raised real estate taxes by approximately 23 percent in 2007 and gave the highest-paid city employees huge salary increases, but very small increases to low-level employees-

Centuries of preaching hasn't stopped 'sins'
Were you aware that Noah's deluge, which destroyed all the air-breathing creatures including humanity, was preceded by 120 years of Noah's preaching-

Jesus said, "The second coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day Noah entered the ark and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be" (Matt. 24:37-39).

We have had over 20 centuries of preaching. Yet our world and generation progressively, even exponentially, gets worse. Murder. Rape. Theft. Adultery. Fornication. Terrorism. Violence. Greed. Hatred and on and on. Wars and commotions. Famine. Pestilence. Disease. I believe the storm clouds are on the horizon. Keep your eyes on Israel, for the Lord God is not finished with the nation of Israel.

The New Testament church, composed of born-again children of God by faith in Jesus Christ, did not replace Israel as some falsely and inaccurately teach today. The "church" will be raptured — snatched away instantaneously to meet Jesus in the air (1 Thess. 4:13-18) and then the 70th week of Daniel, the prophet will commence for seven years — known as the Great Tribulation — when God again pours out his wrath on this wicked, sinful generation. I wonder if this last judgment will come upon you unaware.

Have you been born again (John 3)- Are you ready for His second advent from heaven in the clouds of heaven, coming with power and great glory and majesty, when the heaven shall depart and roll up like a scroll- The Earth shall tremble and the mountains shall fall at His presence. The king is coming soon. Get right or be left.
