Registration set for area kindergarten

- Registration for kindergarten in Augusta County, Staunton and Waynesboro starts Monday.

All children who will be 5 on or before Sept. 30 are welcomed and encouraged to register.

To register a child, the following documents must be presented: birth certificate, Social Security card, proof of residency, immunizations and physical forms.

Bridge reopens

- The Bookerdale Road bridge reopened in Waynesboro today after months of construction sent drivers through a detour. The bridge was to reopen in December, but work was delayed by foul winter weather, Assistant City Manager Jim Shaw said.
