Waynesboro polls now closed

Polls are now closed for the Waynesboro City Council elections.
Enjoying steady voter turnout, final totals will be announced later this evening.
At the top of voter concerns was an opposition to a tax increase. Many were also against the funding of the Wayne Theater with taxpayer’s money. Constituents, too, seemed concerned with the revitalization of downtown.
A great number of voters sited civic responsibility as their reason for coming out on Tuesday.
