Voting steady in Waynesboro

Election Day morning had seen a high volume of voters, the influx slowed around 11 a.m. and remained steady.

Morning voters were drawn to the polls for two reasons—- civic duties and to abate a tax increase.

“Bad People get in office because good people don’t vote,“ said Jim Hummer. “Get out and vote. Don’t care who it’s for, vote.“

Pamela Coffey’s concern was taxes.

“I don’t support a candidate who says up front that they’re going to raise my taxes,“ she said.
