Waynesboro Mayor Tom Reynolds has announced his second endorsement, this time of At-large candidate Jeremy Taylor.
The mayor previously announced that he would endorse Chris Graham as his replacement on the council in Ward B. Taylor is running against councilman Frank Lucente and former councilman DuBose Egleston, Jr.
Reynolds, in a statement, said a vote for Taylor “will help our city continue his accomplishments which have been the record of the past two years.” He cited the following accomplishments:

  • putting a capital improvements plan in place
  • the November 2007 bond referendum approving money for a west-end fire station, a library expansion and funding key stormwater projects
  • the near-completion of the comprehensive plan update
  • restoring financial reserves to safe levels
  • the financial strength of the city, according to its bond counsel
  • “Jeremy Taylor is a man of honesty and integrity,” Reynolds said in his statement. “He will look at all sides of an issue in order to make an informed, independent decision.”

Jeremy Taylor will tax and spend just like Tom Reynolds did.  It’s all about downtown (private-public is all he spouted at the Kate Collins forum), which will force raising taxes.

Jeremy should finish his term on the School Board.
