VERONA — The Augusta County Board of Supervisors amended the county’s coyote bounty ordinance Wednesday to pay a lesser amount per coyote year round after hearing a county sheep farmer ask them to stop the program.

Supervisors get input on Augusta County’s fire needs
Augusta County may relocate a Staunton fire station, or add a station in the Riverheads area, officials said Monday.
A preliminary report by county staff Monday said the current Company 10 fire station location just off the junction of Interstate 81 and I-64 might be a good one to keep because of future development in the area.
