Waynesboro School Board announces appointments

The Waynesboro School Board has appointed two assistant principals for Waynesboro High School and an assistant principal for Kate Collins Middle School for next year.
The appointments were made during Tuesday night’s School Board meeting.
The new administrators are:
n Matthew Schult, assistant principal, Waynesboro High. Schult is currently a data analyst for Pendleton High School in Pendleton, S.C. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University in 2001 and a Master of Education in administration in December 2007.
Schult has taught Advanced Placement biology, honors biology, physics, chemistry and physical science.
n Janet Buchheit, assistant principal, Waynesboro High. Buchheit is currently the math coach at Kate Collins Middle School and has been with the Waynesboro Schools since August 2003.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeast Missouri State University and a Master of Education in administration and supervision from Shenandoah University in 2007. In addition to designing curricula and pacing guides, Buchheit has also coached volleyball at the high school and collegiate levels.
n Allen Jervey, assistant principal, Kate Collins Middle School. Jervey currently teaches U.S. and Virginia history and also has taught world history and geography at Waynesboro High. He began his teaching career at Kate Collins teaching math and pre-algebra in 2003.
Jervey graduated from Lee University in 2003 and will receive his Master of Education degree from the University of Massachusetts in August.
