A man was shot and another beaten and stabbed during an early-morning scrap at a Dooms house party over the weekend, authorities said Monday.
Augusta County sheriff’s deputies and Waynesboro police were called to the 60 block of Eastside Highway early Sunday, when they found a 20-year-old man shot in the shoulder, said Lt. D.M. Back of the Sheriff’s Office.
“He said he felt a pain and realized he’d been shot,” Back said. “He won’t give any names. It’s a mess is what it is. You really don’t have any cooperation out of anybody. And the victims aren’t giving us anything either.”
Another person at the party drove the wounded man to Augusta Health in Fishersville where he was treated and released, Back said. Authorities declined to identify the victim.
A 29-year-old Stuarts Draft man was stabbed and beaten after a car rolled alongside him at about 1 a.m. as he walked near Delphine Avenue and Second Street after having left the party, Waynesboro police spokesman Sgt. Kelly Walker said.
“He was cut up and beat up. It was a fallout incident from that [incident] out in the county,” Walker said.
The stabbing victim was transported to the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, where he was listed in stable condition Monday afternoon.
No arrests have been made in either incident. Walker said Waynesboro police have several suspects in the stabbing.

Yeah Dooms is a wonderful place…. unles you listen to the scanner. Almost every night a deputy is called to Dooms for some sort of disturbance. You must be asleep during this time.
looking in is correct, I did not know that Dooms was the name of a suburb or area around Waynesboro. I am not from the area, but have other interests there. The phrase, “Dooms house party”, made me wonder if “Dooms”, might be the current term for an old game called, “Dungeons and Dragons”, which produced some felonious behavior. Thanks for the heads-up looking in. How hypocritical and idiotic is wborobts comment on my comment? You be the judge.
I could be wrong-but I think that “brupur” honestly didn’t know that there is a place called Dooms-and wasn’t sure if Dooms was in fact a place or person. A lot of people are from out of the area and aren’t familiar with all of the smaller communities. Dooms is a small community on the outskirts of Waynesboro on North 340 (Eastside Speedway) notably marked at the crossroads there as Dooms. There also are family members with the name Dooms still living in the area. The ones I know are Good people.
A Dooms(?), house party?
Is Dooms the name of the people that live
there?
You know as a Dooms resident I take real offense to this comment. What a snide and stupid thing to post. Dooms is a wonderful community that has very little trouble. Anytime there is trouble you can bet it’s NOT in Dooms. You should be ashamed to assume that one incident has something to do with the whole community.
You are a dispicable excuse for a human being!

Looking in…. I see you really worked on that one… more power to you. I appreciate your knowledge and your faith. I just try not to judge people b/c I have not walked in their shoes and do not know their pain or background. It was actually pretty simple. I do appreciate all of this though. It really makes sense now. Thank you…...
Here goes… ![]()
Know God-Know Peace: John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: Not as the WORLD giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
No God-No Peace: Romans 3:17And the way of peace have they not known: 18There is no fear of God before their eyes
I am in no way “judging those in the article. I don’t know them or their situation. But as for judging-in general:
There IS “Righteous Judgment”- “...first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and THEN shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.“-Matthew 7:5; John 7:24 “Stop judging by mere APPEARANCES, and make a RIGHT judgment.”;
James 5:20 “Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.“ (How can you convert a sinner if you don’t first “judge” that he is sinning?); Matthew 18:15 “Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. 16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.“ (Brought in others to help judge).....etc. etc:)
The main thing here is Jesus came to set us free-to change us in a way that we can’t do by ourselves-Romans 3:23”...all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”. He has shown us we can have peace-even in a world filled with turmoil-if we will just except him. John 3:16-“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”, Matthew 11:28-“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.“ May the peace of God rest on all this Christmas:)
I know the meaning of Christmas… thank you for elaborating though.
I kind of get the impression that you assume these people don’t go to church or believe in God or love their families. And you may be right… I just think that its a pretty judgmental assumption.
Doesn’t it also say in the bible… not to judge others?
While responding to “tis the season” brought up Christmas. As for “why does it have to be about religion and church?“-That’s what CHRISTmas is….per Wikipedia: “Christmas or Christmas Day is an annual holiday, celebrated on December 25, that commemorates the birth of Jesus of Nazareth.“
Know God= Know peace…
No God=No peace….
Have a Merry and Blessed CHRISTmas:)
Tis also the season to be judgemental…..
I’m not saying this behavior is acceptable but why does it have to be about religion and church?
