A Waynesboro man accused of stabbing a former girlfriend and a computer repairman at her home last year will be arraigned in circuit court this afternoon.

Vincent Brown, 38, allegedly armed himself with a knife and gun and hid in the stairwell of his girlfriend's apartment building in August 2007. When a 40-year-old repairman knocked on the door of the residence, Brown allegedly attacked, stabbing the man in the chest and arm before entering the apartment, according to court testimony.

The former girlfriend and the repairman both escaped, and a three-hour standoff with police ensued while Brown remained holed up in the apartment.

Brown faces two counts of malicious wounding, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and using a firearm to commit a felony.
