Augusta County
n Authorities on Thursday charged Kim Bernard Gilham, 53, of Staunton, for taking indecent liberties with a child. Officials with the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office did not respond to calls seeking more information about the case.
n A Crimora business dealing with a case of fraud reportedly lost $23,000, according to an Augusta County Sheriff’s Office report. No arrests have been made.
Waynesboro
n A handful of Waynesboro police cruisers are back on the road after an unknown suspect slashed six tires last Saturday night, police said. Authorities estimated about $600 in damage.
“There’s not a clue who did it,” said Sgt. Kelly Walker. “Some scoundrel in the night, I suspect.”
