Car stolen in Staunton

A vehicle stolen from a Sheetz gas station in Staunton Friday evening was recovered less than two hours later in Waynesboro and an arrest made.
Staunton police said a 1994 blue Jeep Cherokee was taken from the Sheetz on Richmond Road in Staunton about 5:45 p.m.
The Waynesboro police were given a tip that the car was at the Wilco on East Main just before 7 p.m., said Sgt. Robert Luzader of the Waynesboro police.
The car was recovered and a Staunton arrest warrant was served on Jeffery Allan Frazier, 39, of Culpeper, Luzader said.
Frazier was charged with grand larceny and was being held in the Middle River Regional Jail Friday night.
