The Waynesboro Police Department responded to a stabbing just after midnight Friday.
James H. Truslow, 23, was stabbed in his left side during what “seems to be an argument, but that has not been confirmed,” said Waynesboro Police Sgt. Michael Wilhelm.
The incident occurred in the 1700 block of New Hope Road. After a call from dispatch, officials rerouted to Hopeman West Parkway Apartments, where Truslow was found. The victim was transported by medical personnel to Augusta Medical Center.
Staff at AMC said Truslow was transferred to the University of Virginia Medical Center, though his status as a patient there could not be confirmed.
No arrests have been made. The case has been turned over to detectives for further investigation.
