Police: Man killed in Staunton, another arrested

A Staunton man is dead and another has been arrested after a late-evening stabbing in the city, police said.

Around 9:40 p.m. Monday, Staunton police responded to call at 1220 W. Beverley Street where they found Charles Everett Moore Jr., 40, unresponsive with stab wounds, said Lisa Klein of the Staunton Police Department.

Moore was declared dead at the scene and Clarence Michael Wiseman Jr., 51, of the same address was arrested early Tuesday morning, Klein said. He is currently being held at Middle River Regional Jail.
