His main targets involved buildings with food, but they weren’t enough to satisfy one habitual burglar’s taste for breaking and entering.

Authorities with the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday arrested Michael Wayne Fridley, 32, of Mt. Solon, for charges of breaking into nine businesses where they said he snatched hundreds of dollars.

Between July 10 and Augusta 4, Fridley broke into Valley Vocational Center, the Mt. Solon Post Office, Rackem Smackem Ribs, Sam’s Hot Dog Stand, Fort Defiance Medical Center and three grocery stores, charging documents state.

Fridley faces 10 breaking and entering charges, six larceny charges and one charge of destroying property.

The Mt. Solon man owns an extensive criminal history for convictions on similar charges in 1997, 1999 and 2000. He was sentenced to three years of jail time for the crimes he committed in 2000, court records show.

Fridley is scheduled to appear in Augusta County Circuit Court for a trial Jan. 25.
