Man found burned behind business

Waynesboro police found a man burned early Monday behind Little Caesers Pizza at 1327 West Broad St.

Police said Dale Dedrick, 46, of Waynesboro, was found behind the business after responded to a fire call at the location around 12:39 a.m.

Dedrick wa staken first to Augusta Medical Center and later the University of Virginia Medical Center.

A preliminary investigation indicates the fire was accidental, and that Dedrick was sleeping behind the building. The building had minor damage
