Draft man charged with paying for, filming teen sex act
A Stuarts Draft man used a Staunton auto body shop to film a teen girl performing oral sex on him for $300, police said Monday.
After executing a search warrant Thursday at Gill’s Auto Repair on Richmond Avenue, police arrested shop manager Wayne Edward Gill, 39, on a felony charge for soliciting a minor for child pornography and a misdemeanor charge of prostitution. More charges are possible pending an investigation into 73 VHS tapes and DVDs, several computers and sex toys seized in the search, Staunton police Officer Lisa Klein said.
Police said Gill’s brother owns the shop. He has not been charged.
According to a search warrant affidavit:
In February, a male R.E. Lee High School student threatened to hurt a 17-year-old girl if she didn’t pay him back for drug debts. Seeking cash, she spoke to another unidentified male student who “showed her a wad of bills” and told her of a way to make money.
They later went to the repair shop, where the girl met Gill and the shop owner.
In a back room, the students told Gill the girl was 17, but “Wayne told her that he didn’t want to hear that, and that she was 18,” the warrant states. “So she said that she was 18 and he ... told her, ‘That’s my girl.’ ”
The girl stripped while her student acquaintance filmed. She then performed oral sex on Gill while he and the student worked two cameras.
Gill also told the girl she would be “punished” with more sexual activity before paying her $300, which he said was more than a typical payment. He showed her other sex videos on a store computer and said he could “pimp her out” so she could make more money.
Authorities learned of the allegations when the girl spoke to a school resource officer, police said. She has been a “reliable” police informer in the past, according to the warrant.
The News Virginian does not identify alleged victims of sexual assault.
Gill is free on bond.
