A driver lost control of her Dodge Caravan on Saturday afternoon, causing a four-car pileup on Rosser Avenue in Waynesboro.
A woman lost control of her minivan Saturday afternoon, causing a literal pileup at the corner of Rosser Avenue and Thirteenth Street. Drivers of four cars were shaken up in the wreck. None was hospitalized.
Shortly before 5 p.m., Marian Mall, 59, of Waynesboro, was driving northbound on Rosser Avenue when her attempt to turn right onto Thirteenth Avenue carried her Dodge Caravan into a Lincoln Towncar that had just crossed through the intersection headed east on Thirteenth Street, said Waynesboro police Cpl. J.A. Thomas.
Momentum carried the van and Lincoln into two cars directed westbound on Thirteenth Street. When all four cars collided, the van was propelled atop the hood of the Towncar, police said.
All five riders involved declined transportation to the hospital.
Authorities charged Mall with reckless driving. According to witnesses, the driver of the Towncar had the right of way through the intersection, police said.
The wreck drew onlookers to the busy intersection, where rescuers closed Thirteenth Street for about one hour, Thomas said.
After two attempts, the van was successfully pulled from atop the Towncar.

Just another example of inattention or bad driving.Happens every second of every day everywhere. But at least nobody was injured except for our car insurance premiums.
I go through this intersection several times a day. It’s a dangerous intersection because those turning left onto Rosser from 13th rarely stop for cars coming straight across. There have been many times I’ve almost been hit even though there is a sign on the light that says turning left MUST yield to those coming straight across.
Do you think that she might had a cell phone stuck in her ear???????
