GIRLTALK: Oprah takes on sexual health

As an avid fan of all things Oprah, I’m pretty tuned into her shows even though I’m rarely home to watch, and have a subscription to her magazine which I read religiously. Yet even I have to say I was shocked to hear (from my mother, nonetheless) that last Friday’s show was about sex, and a segment was devoted to (people uncomfortable with this topic, stop reading now) sex toys.

GIRLTALK: Michelle Obama - can we go beyond her clothes?

GIRLTALK: Kay’s Mazie has a new home

Mazie came to live with my husband, Jim, and me Monday night. We picked her and her loot up from Kay’s friend, Jane, and brought her to our new home (we just bought it Dec. 4 - I guess we’re not visitors any longer. Does that mean we’re locals?)

Deer hunters: WWRC provides accessibility for the disabled

Most “able-bodied” folks take everyday movements for granted. They get out of bed every morning, put their clothes on, brush their teeth, eat breakfast and get going for the day.

GIRLTALK: Goodbye to my friend, Kay

Ever since I heard that Kay had passed away, I’d wanted to post something here, hoping the Universe would whisk it away to where she is, so that she knows how much she will be missed.
