Endstation Theatre Co.’s 2009 Blue Ridge Summer Theatre Festival is under way at Sweet Briar College; “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will be presented at 7 p.m. on July 9, 11, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 25 and 26 on the dell near Babcock Fine Arts Center, where parking is available; “My Brother’s Knife” will be performed at 2 p.m. July 12 and at 7 p.m. July 14, 15, 17, 22 and 24 in Murchison Lane Auditorium at Babcock Fine Arts Center. The Waynesboro Connection presents Leonardo Ciampa in concert at 3:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 11th and Wayne Avenue; works by J. S. Bach, Felix Mendelssohn, Charles-Marie Widor, Alexandre Guilmant, Joseph Maneri (world premier), Andrea Amici (American premier) and will conclude with the world premier series of “Five Waynesboro Preludes,” which are settings of familiar hymn tunes. The recital has free admission and all are welcomed to attend; all donations will help defray the cost of the series.
