A plea to taxpayers: Demand lower rate

Notice to Waynesboro taxpayers: We cannot afford another tax increase.

We’re already paying more in taxes on water, sewer and garbage through higher rates and fee charges.

More in utility taxes through higher rates on electric, gas, telephone, cable and our eat-out taxes.

We’ll even pay the city more to be buried in the local cemetery.
