Pizza deliveryman robbed at gunpoint

Waynesboro police are looking for three men who robbed a pizza deliveryman at gunpoint late Wednesday on Alpha Street.
Police responded to the call at about 10:30 p.m.
The 31-year-old victim said he was met by three young black men in the 400 block of Alpha where he was making a delivery.
The men came out from behind the home, two of them armed with pistols.
Waynesboro police said the deliveryman was forced to empty his pockets.
The men took the pizza, his wallet, an undisclosed amount of cash and his car keys.
The men fled south toward Port Republic Road.
The deliveryman went to Florence Avenue and called police through 911.
Sgt. Kelly Walker said some men were detained 45 minutes after the robbery on Ivy Street, but subsequently were released.

I hope it wasn’t the Papa John’s delivery folks- I order from them all the time and they’re really nice.

Pretty sad when someone wants to rob people who work hard for their money!
