Motorcycle and vehicle parts stolen

Motorcycle racing frames, motors and parts, along with a Jeep transmission and parts of other various vehicles were stolen Thursday from a residence on the 100 block of Homeplace Lane in Stuarts Drafts, the Augusta Country Sheriff’s Office reported today.

The items, valued at $2,960, were taken without signs of forced entry.

“This is not just stuff one person walks in, loads up and goes with,” said Lt. D.M. Back.

Such items are often stolen to be sold as scrap, he said.
