Man assaulted while asleep on couch

A 35-year-old Verona man faces charges of breaking and entering and assault for allegedly busting into a Lyndhurst home and beating a man who was sleeping on a couch.

Jesse Seamster broke into a house in the 70 block of Blackwell Lane in Lyndhurst on Wednesday, then beat a 25-year-old man, the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office reported. The men knew each other, authorities said.
