Both the Stuarts Draft and Riverheads wrestling teams cracked the top four of Saturday’s WhiteWave Foods Cougar Classic, with the Cougars placing second and the Gladiators coming in fourth.
Draft’s Adam Davis was named Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament. Davis won the 126-pound weight class, defeating North Stafford’s Dylan Thompson in a 5-3 decision in his final match of the day.
The Cougars’ Sam Davis (182) and Tyler Knecht (195) also won their respective weight classes.
For the Gladiators, Franklin Miller took first place in the 285-pound class.
Monticello ended up the top team in the tournament with 137 points, while Draft scored 123 and Riverheads 92.
