The statewide Republican ticket along with the party’s national committee chairman are scheduled to roll into Waynesboro this morning.

GOP gubernatorial nominee Robert F. McDonnell and Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling along with Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele are expected to appear at 9 a.m. at Reo Distribution.

Later, the contingent is scheduled to attend a rally starting at 10:45 a.m. at the Waynesboro Republican Committee Headquarters at Willow Oak Plaza.

The rally is part of McDonnell’s “New Jobs, More Opportunities: It Starts Now’’ statewide tour which kicked off Thursday in Richmond and will take McDonnell, Bolling and attorney general nominee Ken Cuccinelli to 22 locations over the final days of the campaign.

McDonnell and the statewide ticket will return to the Shenandoah Valley at 5 p.m. Sunday with a flight into the Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport in Weyers Cave for another rally.
